Pensions dashboards will show your pension information in one place, including the State Pension, your LGPS pension and other UK pensions you have. They will be secure and free to use. Dashboards will give everyone access to clear and simple information about their pensions to help them plan for a secure financial future.
We don’t yet know when dashboards will be available to the public, but it is likely to be in 2026. The MoneyHelper dashboard, provided by the Government, will be launched first. Commercial dashboards will follow later, provided by banks and other financial bodies.
You will only see all your pension information on dashboards if your pension providers have your correct personal details. Now is a good time to make sure that your pension providers have up to date information – have you told them about a recent house move, marriage or name change? Many LGPS pension funds will allow you to check and update your details by using an online portal. Alternatively, Contact your pension fund to find out how you can make sure your details are up to date.
Pensions dashboards will also help people find lost pension pots. There is at least £31 billion in unclaimed pension pots in the UK. If you want to track down a lost pension before dashboards are launched, you can use the GOV.UK pension tracing service.
